SAVRAN'

Round Savran', along the South Bug, burial mounds, monuments of antiquity can be seen.

For ages they kept their secret - time, when first people settled between Savran'ka and the South Bug.

Soviet scientists have learned this secret. In the 50ths excavations of Savran' settlement of neolith times were completed (end of the 7th middle of the 6th millennium B.C.). During the excavations two dwelling complexes and common burial place were found, that is a unique archaeological discovery.

On the territory of modern Savran' and neighbouring villages archaeologists have found the settlement of copper epoch (Trypol' culture, the 4th millennium B.C.) and bronze epoch (the 3rd millennium B.C.).

Savran' was part of Kiev Rus' and in the middle of the 13th century it was captured by Tatar-Mongols.

From the second half of the 14th century this territory got under the burden of Lithuanian, and then Polish feudal lords.

The History of our state can be examined in the scale of one city which saved the historical reminders of all stages of development of the Ukrainian state. There are several legends about the city and the origin of "Savran'" name, they are narrating about the brave dwellers bravely guarding their territories.

The South Bug is one of the most interesting and intricated rivers of the South and does not need neither advertising nor similar repeated descriptions. The river flows through the area of forests and steppes laying itself a way through the Ukrainian crystalline shield and forming numerous thresholds. The valley of the river is quite densely populated; the banks, are mainly high, opened, quite often are rocky; the farther to the south, the rarer there are off-shore groves. The banks are especially interesting and picturesque. Near Aleksandrovka the river flows on the Prychernomorskaya plain, its flow becomes slow, the low banks are bordered with reed.

For the amateurs of fishing there will be wonderful possibility of angling - the river is rich with river gifts (sheat-fish, pike perch, perch, European carp, roach and other).
